Tower House is a large Victorian Marine Residence built in the mid-eighteen hundreds and is situated in an elevated position overlooking the picturesque town of Ventnor. It is set in a quiet location and commands splendid sea views.
The house is so called because of the tower on top, which was designed to look far out to sea, enabling the lady of the house to watch out for her sea faring husband returning from a long sea voyage. This tower was also referred to as ’the widows walk’. There is a decked area here, surrounded by arrow headed Victorian railings, making it very safe for those opting for the self catering apartments to sit out and take in the breathtaking views.
For guests’ comfort, Tower House is non-smoking throughout and the house is conveniently sited just minutes walk from the beach and the town centre.

As two thirds of Tower House is built into the undercliff, apartments at the top of the house are at garden level. Apartment one enjoys the benefit of a secluded south-facing decked patio area where guests can sit and eat alfresco, or enjoy a glass of wine whilst listening to the sea and the crickets and watching the sun set over the sea.
Apartment one has its own entrance and offers full en-suite facilities, with lounge and breakfast room, a double bed and 2 singles with optional access to the Tower

Apartment two enjoys the benefit of a secluded south-facing decked patio area where guests can sit and eat alfresco, or enjoy a glass of wine whilst listening to the sea and the crickets and watching the sun set over the sea.

Apartment three is situated at the side of the house and has its own private entrance via external steps.
The apartment has its own very pretty private patio with great sea views, and has two bedrooms and two shower rooms in addition to its private lounge and kitchen diner.

tower house - rental notes, terms & conditions
Rates quoted are per week from Saturday to Saturday, occupation from 3pm until 5pm other times by prior arrangement vacation by 10am on departure date.
All gas and electricity are provided in the cost. Duvets and linnen are provided, however visitors will need to bring own beach towels. Smoking is not permitted in any part of the building and pets cannot be accommodated in the property. Parking is on road. All breakages must be paid for at current rate.
